I've posted in the loacl pages, but in case it's seen more here... can anyone recommend a cranial osteopath in warwickshire? (for treatment of toddler with glue ear)

It's likely you've heard this before but it's worth repeating that there is no physiological reason to think that osteopathy benefits and glue ear and the evidence base only supports it's use in lower back pain (where nothing works well).

Cranial osteopathy has no proven basis.

If your toddler has glue ear then they need treatment I am afraid.

Maybe there's only a little evidence and it's not particularly good quality but given that we've already been waiting over 3 months for a referral to ENT and our ds is awake for ~3hrs each night crying as he wants to sleep but can't because his ears and nose are blocked, I figure it's worth a try. I'm aware he needs treatment. Thanks.

Sounds like another outlet might be better pain relief/agents to help sleep.

Your G.P. should be able to talk this through with you at fairly short notice.

There are also some herbal products with better data supporting them than osteopathy.

Otikon and Otic ear drops.
Xylitol syrup.

But this aren't likely to be effective as pain relief and antibiotics, if appropiate.
