We bought the Usborne First Readers Knights book and it has 3 fab tales of Sir Gawain. Ds has watched Sword in the Stone too so would love some recommendations of other suitable King Arthur tales or other legends. Have being trying to find some greek myths too to no avail

There's a nice Greek Myths illustrated by the woman who wrote the Blue Kangaroo books - can't remember her name just now so you'll have to look on Amazon

My DS loved Atticus the Storyteller; I have also given it as a present several times, and both parents and children have said how much they loved it. There is a great audio CD of it too!

vorpalblade - I think the woman you're thinking of is Emma Chichester Clarke.

There is a series of books by Lucy Coats and Anthony Lewis called 'Greek Beasts and Heroes' which are designed for young readers with lots of colourful illustrations.
