Would this be suitable for a v bright 7 yr old? Not in terms of complexity of language but theme etc. DS2's just read it and I was about to take it back to theibrary but wondered if it would be OK for dd too

the books i have of his are more suited to an 11 year old

An excellent book but aimed more at 9+.

thanks - that's what I suspected - will wait another couple of years ...

dd's at that tricky stage where she can read absolutely anything you put in front of her, plus her comprehension's really good, but obviously themes which are suitable for children at the top end of primary aren't going to right for a very bright but emotionally quite young Y2 ....
