First fairytales book recommendation, please!

I'm looking for an introduction to fairy-tales type book, as we have just received "the jolly postman" and I have realised that ds doesn't understand the references to Goldilocks/3 pigs etc.

He is almost 4, I'd appreciate any recommendations! TIA!

i read g 2 the ugly duckling, emperor new clothes, eleves and shoemaker, snow white g is a boy and loves them a points out all the things he can see

just dont get brothers grimm, re read them in in weekend paper handout and they freaked me out
