what authors do your 9yo ds love? help!!!

ds loves horrible histories/science/geography etc..

he's read all the captain underpants books, roald dahl and loads i can't remember now!

he;s just started on a Michael Morpurgo book called friend or foe, which is really gripping him...

any suggestions please for good books for him..its for christmas, so any ideas will be greatly recieved!

My DS LOVES Diary of a Wimpy Kid. He's a big fan of Roald Dahl and Captain Underpants as well, so he may have the same tastes as your DS. DS also really enjoys Roddy Doyle's children books. They are very funny and very surreal. If he enjoys history, he may also like The Roman Mysteries series of books.

In the last year ds (9) has loved Cressida Cowell's Hiccup Viking books, Alex Rider series, Artemis Fowl series, Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson series, Zizou Corder's Lion Boy series, Michelle Paver' Chronicles of Ancient Darkness series, Diamond Brothers series (also by Anthony Horowitz) - that should keep him going for a while

My ds loves all those books mentioned, but also likes Lynn Reid Banks, Enid Blyton adventure series, Charlie Small, Arthur Ransome series of Swallows and Amazons.

Hank Zipzer novels by the Fonz

Mr Gum books by Andy Stanton, and Eoin Colfer's books, both thoses for slightly younger children things like Spud Murphy, and the Artemis Fowl stories.

Artemis Fowl, Harry Potter and Beast Quest are firm favourites with DS.
