books with chapters but an illustration on every page please

ds is ready for chapter books (he's 3.4) and loves books but is convinced that if a page doesn't have a picture on it it needs to be skipped. Makes reading Dirty Bertie stories a bit of a pain. Are there any books which are longer and more grown up but still have a picture per page?

oh no chance of that, he brings different books to be read so many times a day. Always looking for the next thing

just looked and they look perfect. and lots are written by Jan Page who I know! fab

Littlenose the Hunter is good and has a picture on every double page spread. Ds loved it from about 3 and a half.
