hi there

i am thinking about starting to write childrens stories but with a twist. i would need parents to send me details of their children including their name, age, interests, location, names of people closest to them and something they have always wished for, etc to become a princess or a footballer for a day! i would then write a story based on those deatils.
if anyone would be interested in this, or would like more details, please contact me!

p.s i aplogise for the lack of capital letters, but the caps lock button has gone missing from my keyboard....!

I already have one of these, actually it is a few years old so there might be several publishers who do them. This one is by a company called MY ADVENTURE BOOKS. They do all sorts - Christmas, At the Zoo, in Wonderland etc. There is no website on the book I'm afraid so can't do a link

Yes I have one too, DD's Xmas Adventure or something like that!

there are loads of those about; the problem is that children tend to suss pretty quickly that the story isn't really about them; to write a story about them you would have to know them really intimately, otherwise you are just inserting the names

mine always preferred stories written about a fictional character in such a way that you felt the author really knew the character iyswim

write the best you can, about something that you find exciting, and you are going to get far more readers

Lots of companies do this. They are a bit naff really.
