I remember them from when I was younger. They were mystery type stories. At the end of each page the reader had to make a decision - if you want to fight the baddy, go to page 10, if you want to run away go to page 33, etc. Anyone remember?

Are they still available? Where from?

Do you mean like this? I also remeber there was a series of horror ones which I always find in charity book stores.

Oh Hula I loved those books, they were fantastic. From what sort of age do you think are suitable for?

Hulababy · 20/11/2008 18:35

I can't remember what age I read them from TBH. I guess early secodary maybe, or perhpas late primary?

Yes I think you are right 11 or 12 perhaps, dd is way too small, I just got over excited at the memory of them!

There is a Jane Austen one but it's a bit daft - my 13 year old loved it though.

TooTicky · 20/11/2008 18:44

Be warned, the Doctor Who ones are disappointing. Not carefully done.

Mountain Survival by Edward packard.

not sure if he wrote any more in the series, but there were about 20 of them!! This one was published by Bantam Books in 1984!!
