I used to love them as a child but cant think what they were called- it was a story but you had to work out what happened by solving a mystery on each page and you couldnt turn th page til you had worked it out?

Dont even know if you can still get them

I remember those! you could get famous 5 ones that had a dice and other bits too!
sorry can't help you with what they were called though!

I think i did have the famous 5 ones too- can vaguely remember that- the ones I am thinking of were different stories- i had one set in egypt I cant remember exactly how it worked now, but if you got an answer wrong you couldnt move on, or the puzzle couldnt be solved

I have a set of the famous fives ones upstairs under teh DD's bed. Shall dig it out. You could also get creepy scary ones with goblins etc (I think)
