Books about nursery/daycare for a nearly 1year old?

Bad guilt ridden mummy that I am DS (now nearly 10m) is starting nursery 3 (very long ) days a week a couple of weeks before his first birthday. He is so gentle (some would say shy but I am trying not to label him) and I feel I have to try and start somewhere!

Does anyone have any suggestions about "going to nursery" type books that might be ok for a tiny one?

I know he is too young to understand properly but he has a story every night before bed and I would like to try introducing the idea of nursery. All the books I have found so far talk about doing colouring and sticking and things at nursery and such and are a bit old for him.

You said it already, he's far too young to understand.
It's not exactly what you were after, but you might like 'my mum goes to work' here: www.amazon.co.uk/gp/reader/0340883685/ref=sib_dp_pt/276-7985891-3078754#reader-link

ThursdayNext - that's great thank-you! ok it's not quite right but it is the right idea

I know he won't understand but we don't wait until they understand before we talk to them or show them other things.

I'm thinking i could make a scrap book type book with pictures from the nursery publicity to use as a point and talk book.
That would probadly work for you too um, we did lots of them for boy when he was smaller, bikes, trains, food etc. He could identify a spoke nipple at 16 months and would point to one picture of chap on touring bike and say daddy, it wasn't, but was a similar bike to daddy's.

that's a really good idea UniS - he already hashsi own photo album with pictures of all his family (he doesn't see my parents much as they are far away).

LOL at your 16m old being a cycling expert!
