I just don't have words for how amazing this book is. If you have a sensitive 11 year-old plus give them this book. It's written in the first person about a boy of 11 with leukaemia. Sounds grim but it's the most beautiful, heartbreaking, funny and real book I've read for a long time. My brother currently has cancer, and although he's a long way past 11 it helped me look at his illness in a different way. But any child should appreciate this if they're ready for it, not just those who have illness in the family.
Read it. It's amazing. I feel evangelical!
