Cam Jansen or Young Cam Jansen

Is there much difference between the 'Young' Cam and the 'older' Cam books? I have seen the books recommended on various sites (including this one) and wondered what sort of level both the books were. Does the story content change bewteen the two series?

I've looked at Amazon for their 'take a look inside' but it isn't working for me tonight. Are there any UK shops that stock them so I can have a look at a few and let DD decide if she likes them.

Many thanks

Hi

Young cam Jansen are full of pictures and roughly 55 pages they are probably Ican read level 2 or DKreaders 3/2

Cam jansen are paperbacks and similar to Horrid Henry in style and content ie print.

If she's reading Rainbow Fairies or HH she'll cope with the Cam Jansen. Stories are different across the ranges.

I bought the first of each series for her to read and decide which one she wanted.

Thank you for your replies. She is reading the Rainbow Fairy series so she she should be ok with the young Cam books. I am concerned about the content and whether the subject matter will be over her head for the older books.

Thanks for the website link too.

I think I'll just order a few young ones first and see how she gets on.

Ahhh, thanks Califrau. I think that they will be over her head at the moment. She is only 3y3m so wouldn't understand the subject matter. Finding books for her is soooo hard! I'll try the Young Cam ones...we can always save them for later on.

Good to hear your DS is enjoying them, he sounds a great reader.
