What Age is This Book For?

The book is part of a series The Extremely Embarrassing Life of Lottie Brooks. My eldest niece is 9 and I’m wondering if she is about the right age or if I should wait till next year?

Penguin Books (who publish them) says age 9-12.

If she's 9 she's going into Year 5 or 6 next year, right? (depending on when her birthday is). Upper Key Stage 2 (9-11) is the perfect age for this series.

Thank you both. DN turned 9 in June and we are in Scotland. DN is going into primary 5 after the summer which is the third last year of primary school. I would have enjoyed it had I been younger and my DN is very like me in her reading choices.
