Dd is desperate for new books, her school library is not amazing. Perhaps she is a picky reader. She likes and has already read:

  • To all the boys I've ever loved
  • Wonder series
  • Lottie Brooks (obsessed but seem a bit young for her now)
  • Geek girl
  • Katherine Rundell books

Is not into:

  • Percy Jackson
  • Murder most Unladylike
  • Anne of Green Gables
  • Hunger Games / Divergent / Maze runner

Any recommendations? 🙏

Philip Pullman, maybe not the Northern Lights yet but the Ruby in the Smoke and related books.

Great suggestions thank you! Apart from the Girl Online series (which she really enjoyed), we haven’t explored any of these yet. I’m sure there’ll be a few that are just right for her

My DD likes Hannah Gold, so I third the recommendation above. She also enjoyed the Michelle Harrison ‘Pinch of Magic’ books and Piers Torday ‘Wild’ series.
