Would you read your child a book on your phone/tablet?
In Scotland we have an app called BookBug and they upload videos of nursery rhymes ect. They recently uploaded books and my 18 month old loved listening and watching them.
I was just worried about letting him being on my phone too much. I know it's engaging and I'm right there with him reading and singing along, but wondering if other mums would buy online kid books to read to your kids, as most people are on their phones a lot and they are normally cheaper.

Would you buy online kid books? Is there a certain age you would start this from?

Well, I wouldn’t. Books can be found very cheaply or even free - there are dozens of book exchanges, and most charity shops sell kids’ books for literally pennies. Why use a screen when it’s not necessary?

Honestly this sums up my viewpoint too. I just don't see why you'd add in a screen when you're right there with them and could read the story whilst also teaching valuable pre reading skills like how to hold a book, turn a page and where you start reading from. The screen just seems like a really unnecessary middle man.
