Basically left side soldier right side hippie which was our interpretation of War and Peace
Start looking for stuff now cause it can get expensive andremember your face paints if you like the idea
He enjoyed wearing it and he won so it was win-win.
Have fun🙂

We sent our son in one year as Charlie Bucket, scruffy clothes and a big bar of chocolate to share with the class containing a golden ticket. We’d only remembered that it was WBD the night before.

I don’t think WBD has “winners” round here…. I mean, it’s to promote enthusiasm for books, right?

Ds wanted to be the invisible man. As in not there.

My favourite year was when he wanted to be Biggles. So he wore this gorgeous WWII RAF outfit I made. He looked superb.

Unfortunately ds hated dressing up at school and his ideal was not to be noticed at all. He would often vomit with anxiety, so with the above outfit, he had chosen, and he got into school. That would have been a win.
Unfortunately he looked so lovely he got stopped by pretty much every parent on the way in to say how wonderful he looked. I have a photo. Biggles looks like he's just been ordered to go on a sortie in dicey weather and his leave has been cancelled. Makes me grin every time.

The odd thing about him dressing up, is that ask him to wear a red t-shirt for red nose day and you'll have him green around the gills and in a complete state. Ask him to get on stage in front of a couple of thousand people wearing a dress (or anything else) and that's no problem. I don't quite understand it.
