Just that really as when looking it up I found everything from age 2-7 years on four different sites. The book is Pumpkin Soup by Helen Cooper.

Amazon says ages 2-4 but that would be for the child being read to.
For reading by themselves many children still read picture books up to the age of around 7.
I've not read this one so can't say if it would interest 7 year olds.

It's a popular text for Key Stage 1 to teach, so age 5-7. Personally I find it a bit long and advanced (vocabulary and plot wise) for Reception, who I teach. I certainly can't imagine many 2 year olds would be interested in it, although it is a lovely story.

Age 4-6 is it's target audience I would imagine.

My son loved being read this when he was 4, 5, 6 then read it himself at 7, 8.

Great book, especially around Autumn!

I still find myself adding a 'pipkin' of salt in my head whenever I make it

Thank you all. My youngest DN is 3 this year so I’ll save it for next year I think.

I've honestly never heard of it.
