I'm looking for a version of The Odyssey for children. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

The best one I've seen - depending how purist you want to be though - is Marcia Williams' gorgeous strip version.

(Why doesn't that say "comic strip" version like I meant it to? Why did it decide to make my recommendation sound risqué?)

This may not be any help, but my children love the story cassette Odysseus, by Tony Robinson and richard Curtis (read by Tony Robinson)
I would reccomend it, but don't know if there's an equivilent book.

It's by cavalcade story cassetes.

Oh the Marcia Williams ones are great aren't they?
The Shakespeare series is good too.

Yes, I have read my children Rosemary Sutcliff's version and they love it. She also wrote a version of the Iliad called Black Ships Before Troy. The illustrations, by Alan Lee, are wonderful.

Thanks. I'll look into these., I'm particulary keen on the idea of Rosemary Sutcliffe because she is such a talented storyteller.
Thank you.
