My son loves reading. Likes the Tom Gates and Dog man books and has asked for more books for Christmas but am unsure what to buy him! If anyone has any suggestions I'd be most grateful.
Many thanks

I've bought my 10yo for Christmas:
• Tom Palmer books
• Finding Wonder (I borrowed it from the library and he absolutely loved it)
• Maisie vs Antarctica
• latest Bunny vs Monkey
• a One Piece book (manga)

What about classics like Stig of the Dump, or Howl's Moving Castle? If you can get your hands on any old Paul Jennings they've been a hit with my DS, like an Australian, much funnier/less horror version of Goosebumps.

Might he enjoy something like The Eagle of the Ninth?

My 10 year old enjoyed the Hundred Mile an Hour Dog books and the Atticus Claw series.

my son is almost ten.
In the last 3 months he’s been reading these;

Adventures on Trains.
is a good series

the roof toppers
and the rest of the books by this author

earlier he loved
swallows and Amazons
and was gutted to finish the series.
if he hasn’t read them already they are lovely.

My son likes Bunny Vs Monkey, Looshkin, Wimpy Kid, The Bad Guys, Loki, Grimwood - basically it needs pictures. Also books about "100 weird monsters from around the world" etc.

He likes the first few Dog Man books, but lost interest when it all started focusing on childhood trauma instead of poo jokes. He liked Tom Gates but found them samey after a few books. He only really liked the first treehouse books due to the repetition.

My 10 year old enjoyed Tom Gates and Wimpy Kids.

He's now started Percy Jackson and is loving it much to my surprise as he's never really liked reading.

My son has similar taste and just discovered Tom Fletcher's Creakers and Space Band. There are even QR codes to songs you can access on YouTube at key parts.

My 10 yr old ds loves dog man and bunny vs monkey. Will also read books that are just text though. So he also likes percy jackson and the other rick riordan sets. A recent hit were the young james bond books by charlie higson. Also loved how to train your dragon set of books and the david baddiel books are good.
If wanting cartoony ones - then the 13 storey tree house books are quite silly and cartoon based. And the loki books are also silly.
