My eldest DGS (aged 12) is autistic and currently having some mental health issues 😥He is a bright and sensitive boy, recently begun Year 7 and doing well at school.
Please could you give me some recommendations for books I can give him at Xmas. TIA.

Just like me : 40 neurologically and physically diverse people who broke stereotypes

Has he read the Percy Jackson books, lots of neurodiversity in there I think. DS who has ASD loved them.
DS absolutely loathed anything that was specifically about autism and how great or how difficult it is (but your ds may be different of course).

No sure what his reading age is or which celebrities he likes but my DS enjoyed Never Give Up by Bear Grylls and I'm thinking of getting him Steven Bartlett's book.

What did you choose on the end @LetThereBeLove? Flowers

Following with interest for my bright, autistic son who is younger but loves reading and will no doubt enjoy these in a few years.
