She is sort of into the secret 7 (with lots of hand covering), loved Clarice Bean and the moomins and Pippi. Sort of liked Ottoline

So any other adventure type books - not too scary.

I've had both of these recommended to me.

Dd is almost 7 and loved Tom's Midnight Garden and Peter Pan - although the language in PP is a bit old-fashioned and I found myself paraphrasing and re-writing as I went along. She also really enjoyed Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.
