Arabian Nights & Norse mythology (12 year old)

I want to give my 12 year old a book on Norse mythology and a copy of the Arabian nights. Online is being supremely unhelpful e.g. puffin classics has Sinbad the sailor and other Tales form the Arabian nights and Aladdin and other tales from the Arabian nights but no hint as to which other tales are included or if the books are part of a series so have different tales or if they duplicate some. Or whether there are illustrations in or not.

The Usborne Illustrated series look nice but too young for her I think.

Would also be open to suggestions for mythology from around the world as I've realised she knows only Greek/Roman myths.

They're old, but they're classics - the Roger Lancelyn Green versions of the Norse and Egyptian myths.

I also enjoyed the Neil Gaiman Norse Myths book.

Geraldine McCaughrean's Arabian Nights is lovely and aimed at teens.

I came on here to say exactly that. I largely learned to read from RLG's Tales of the Greek Heroes. I am also old enough to remember Tales of the Arabian Nights from the Banana Splits Show in the 70s😃

The best translation I think I've read is by Haddawy though I'd need to check the age-appropriateness.
