Help me find this book?

I read it in the 80s, it may well have been a 70s book.
It was about two girls. One in the 17th century (I think) who gets transported to present day after touching a bible after being accused of witchcraft. Another girl (bit of a hermione granger type) in present day befriends and helps her after they both go back and forth a wee bit.
I cannot for the life of me remember it’s name
