Football biography/autobiography suitable to young teen

My DS (nearly 13) is keen to read some football biographies/autobiographies. He doesn't seem interested in fiction at the moment. As long as he's reading, I'm happy to indulge him, however I think a lot of books of this nature won't be age appropriate. I don't really want him to read about affairs and scandal, more the childhood and sporting side of a footballer! He's just read one of the I,Robot ones by Peter Crouch, although I was a but worried that might not be appropriate. He says he's too old now for the Ultimate Football Heroes type books. Any recommendations?

Does he follow a particular team? If so I would look into books about the club itself as they're likely to be more appropriate than autobiographies.

There's definitely a gap in the market for this. Watching with interest.

Not an autobiography but would he like 50 football games that changed the world?
