Waterwheel book

I’m trying to find a book I loved in the early 90s (though could have been written earlier). All I can remember is it’s an adventure story with a group of children who find an old waterwheel. I think waterwheel might be in the title of the book.
Reminiscent of Enid Blyton, but slightly grittier (from my memory!) and written by an author I never read any other books by.

Any ideas?

Is it Treasure at the Mill by Malcolm Saville?

@MargaretThursday no, it isn’t, but I do remember that one. I think my book is more recent - post 1970s

Frenchman's Secret by Monica Edwards? It's earlier than 70s though-I think 50s or 60s.

Not that either. I’m almost certain it had waterwheel or water in the title - but nothing comes up on google.
