Like the faraway tree?

Hello! My 4 year old loves the Faraway Tree series and has just whizzed through them (me reading them to him). I want to feed his enthusiasm, but I'm stuck. I've got the Wishing chair books, which he likes, but they're not as nicely illustrated as the faraway tree ones I have. Does anyone have a recommendation of books to follow the faraway tree, which have lovely colour illustrations as well? Thanks!

Mine also loved Brambly Hedge, Hotel Flamingo and just recently she’s devoured the Pippi Longstocking books (we’ve got the ones illustrated by Lauren Child) and My Naughty Little Sister.

Bump - as I have the exact same query!

Just reading The Enchanted Wood now to my 3.5 year old and she seems to be enjoying it so far. The chapters are nice and quick and the books I have have a little illustration every couple of pages to give her something to visualise / focus on.

Any other suggestions for similar books, anyone?

Just ordered the Magic Treehouse but don't know know what they're like yet!
