Older books that all feel very Christmassy to me.
The Dark is Rising (2nd in the Dark is Rising series) Susan Cooper
"This night will be bad and tomorrow beyond imagining". Will wakes up on his 13th birthday to find he is one of The Old Ones who must keep the dark at bay. Lots of snow and Christmas happenings.
Wings over Witchend (Malcolm Saville)
Number 9 in the Lone Pine Series, one of my son's favourites at about 10yo. The Lone Piners fight against Christmas tree thieves in the Shropshire hills. Again lots of snow!
Winter Holiday (Arthur Ransome)
The Swallows and Amazons have an extra long holiday due to Nancy's mumps, and use it to plan an expedition to "The North Pole". The Ds (Dot and Dick) join them and feel very much the outsiders but win through in the end. The lake freezes over and they skate and toboggan.
The Rat a Tat Mystery (Enid Blyton)
A Barney Mystery. They get snowed in and someone is banging on the door. made me want to be snowed in too!
The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe (C S Lewis)
Four children find themselves in Narnia where the White Witch has made it always winter and never Christmas. They have to turn to Aslan to break the spell.
