DS (nearly 4) has become obsessed with superheroes recently (there was a massive comics/cosplay convention where we live and he loved seeing the characters). He has watched some Spidey and Friends episodes which I feel are ok and I would like to find some similarly age-appropriate books or comics for him. He especially loves spiderman, batman etc but he isn[t that fussy really.
His interest is all about the costumes, fast vehicles, the impressive jumping running flying etc skills and not connected to fighting or weapons - I am not sure he understands the concept of bad guys really and is quite easily scared by books and films. I bought online a couple of cheap board books aimed at 2-5 year olds but they are dreadful and not age appropriate at all, too violent and full of confusing concepts/language so they need a lot of editing/explaining and are also pretty boring for him.
I have to buy English books online so it[s hard to check stuff out personally, and I know nothing about superheros and comics, I sometimes read Asterix as a kid but that[s it. Any recommendations for series/publishers/titles suitable for little kids?
