Help me identify this book

Hoping someone will be able to help!
My all-time favourite christmas book as a child. All I can remember is that it was a red hard back book. There was a boy in it, who ended up banished to his room on Christmas day. It was a comedic book. He had an older brother who was perfect. His extended family came over. Appreciate this isn't much to go on!

What time frame would it be? It sounds like Horrid Henry maybe?
