I have just found this very odd review of the Mrs. Pepperpot books on Amazon. Can anyone explain what this reviewer means? I don't recall Mrs. Pepperpot getting up to any hanky panky of a sexual nature in the books, which i loved as a child....
"Whilst this was a great read for my child, I found the underlying subtext of adultery and cheating distasteful. What Mrs Pepperpot really gets up to is clearly the fantasy of a jealous husband in Proyson. A child might enjoy it, a single parent may not. Do not read it. "
