Something to help me (esp visually) answer DD1's endless questions about Britain and the world? She's also getting a globe for her birthday!

I have a great world map for the wall - if you're interested email me at [email protected]

I bought my 5 year old DS My First Picture Atlas published by Priddy books because I thought I would enjoy reading and learning with him! It's subtitled essential facts about every country in the world and is full of photos and fact boxes. He likes me to read it to him but it is also a book he can pore over himself - lots to look at. You can get it on Amazon although I picked it up for a fiver at Bookworld (discount bookstore).

google earth is great, though not a book, but fascinating to a child.

how about a puzzle. I got dd one of Britain. It's very simple as she was only 3 when she got it but you must be able to get more complex ones

Ds had an Usborne book with jigsaw puzzles for each continent, and showing animals found in each region. He adores it. He has a similar wall map of the world.
