How does my child access her content from Amazon?

Does anyone use the household function on Amazon and if so, can you please advise me. I've got DD set up as a profile - but to do so it just asks for her name and birthday. I'v also shared some content with her.

BUT.... we can't figure out how to access that content. We don't have any kindle devices except my paperwhite. DD uses an IPAD so we need to access her content on that. I tried logging on as myself on the Kindle App to see if there was a way to change profiles - but if there is, I can't find it. I also tried the Kids Amazon app but it won't let me log on without a subscription.

IN desperation, I tried the subscription (which annoyed me as we're already paying Amazon loads) but even then, it only showed the free content, not content I'd shared with her.

Does anyone do this successfully and if so, please tell me how because I have googled and googled and searched the Amazon help pages and go nowhere.

I can't get DS Kindle right now but I certainly can buy books on my account and have them accessible on his profile. I did set up an account lined to my account for him and he has an Unlimited subscription on it but I have also bought books. Bumping for now but if you don't get the info you need I'll get his kindle Paperwhite out in the morning and have a look.

Thanks. It looks like it's easier on a Kindle. But we don't use Kindles - just the apps.

Weirdly, the paid for subscription has now worked and she's reading it on the Kids+ app on her iPad. But I resent paying for a subscription so that she can access content that is supposed to be shareable. So I'm still keen for a solution that allows a kid to access the household account from an iPad if you have any ideas.

Ah sorry no misread your OP. Not tried on an app I'm afraid.

Dunno, but it's ruddy complicated. Because I didn't understand what I was doing I ended up with the household account being just me and no one else until 90 days have expired ... So whatever buttons you click on make sure you know what the implications are!
