Any suggestions for books suitable for a gold band (reading level 9) 6 year old?
She enjoys relatively short stories with pictures in them and has loved the Usborne series up to young readers 1.

Would appreciate any input, thanks.

DD is also a fan of the Usborne Young Reading fairy tales. She loved the Princess in Black books mentioned above. Isadora Moon is good, but a bit harder. We also have a series called Unipiggle with full colour pictures on every page.

Otherwise, we hit the library. There's a series called Little Gems that's been very successful, they are written by real authors and have full colour illustrations. Quite a few of them have been book banded here 122985-351824-raikfcquaxqncofqfm.stackpathdns.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/Bookband-Titles-Feb-2021.pdf . There are loads of other early reader series, like red bananas or Corgi Pups as well.

DS2 was a very good reader and at that age enjoyed The Animals of Farthing Wood series, we would pick them up in charity shops. He also loved Horrid Henry.
