Graphic Novel for Beginner Readers

Hello, I'm looking for recommendations, I'm after a graphic novel or comic style book that is for beginner readers. I have done some Googling but only found graphic novels for slightly older children. My daughter is in year 1 and currently views reading as a real struggle and chore. I thought perhaps if I could find her some engaging graphic novels that only use very simple words/sentences she would be able to read them fairly easily and start to forget about the reading part and really start to enjoy the story.

Thank you!

Have you looked at Dogman books?

Perhaps print off some of these phonicsplaycomics.co.uk/comics.html

Narwhal and Jelly series

Also make sure read to her every night. That snuggle time makes for a positive association with reading.

Bumble and Snug would be good for that age.

Try a couple of copies of the Phoenix www.thephoenixcomic.co.uk

Let her choose her own stuff in the library.

Try audiobooks.

Don't worry, there is plenty of time for her to find the book that makes her click.

There are also some superhero girls or Disney princess comics the "Step into Reading" series has loads of them: Mulan Deluxe Step Into Reading (Disney Princess) smile.amazon.co.uk/dp/0736440534/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_1YVV9DHA718NXB5E4TR1
