Best book to explain Santa

Hi everyone! I am looking for a simple story book to introduce my DS ( 2 years 9 months) to the concept of Father Christmas. We talk about it a lot, but I would love a book which shows just the traditional elements (writing him a letter, hanging up a stocking, leaving mince pie, sleigh pulled by reindeer, for good girls and boys etc). Any recommendations? All I've seen seem to be separate stories which feature FC instead.

Thanks in advance! :)

Maybe Raymond Brigg's Father Christmas? It's a lovely book, almost all pictures and walks through Christmas eve from Santa's side. My son and I have read it every Christmas since he was 2.

Best explanation of Santa I had for my dc was a DVD called "Noddy Saves Christmas".

It answers the three questions:

  1. How does he get down chimneys as he's so fat?
  2. How does he get round the world in one night?
  3. How does he fit all the presents in his sleigh?

First time we watched it, my dd said "I bet you didn't know those answers before you watched this". Grin
