Book about princesses and book about science

DD (5) has asked for "a book about princesses" and "a book about science" for Christmas. As both of these seem to cover a pretty broad range, any recommendations would be much appreciated! She likes fantasy themed stories and is able to read short chapter books with pictures (eg Squishy McFluff, Gracie LaRoo), but also likes reading picture books.

My daughter that age loved "Rosie Revere Engineer"
Try the "a mighty girl" website for awesome book lists and just generally good advice on strong role models for bring up independent women.

little people big dreams series has a women in science gift set. We have a few books from the series and my dd6 loves reading them.

The reading age for this is advertised as 6-12, but you could reasd it with her.

It combines film star and scientist
Hedy Lamarr's Double Life

And she might like Ella's Big Chance a reworking of Cinderella, in which she jilts the prince and elopes with Buttons

The Princess in Black fits the criteria.
Princess Magnolia has a secret - she's the Princess in Black and fights monsters! These humorous and action-packed chapter books are for readers who not only like their princesses prim and proper, but also dressed in black.

The Rosie Revere series is very good. There are lots of others on the same theme.

These all sound amazing, thanks! Anything involving a princess fighting monsters is likely to go down particularly well.
