Fantasy books for DD12

DD(12) is slowly getting into fantasy style books - she's currently reading and loving the Ruby Red trilogy by Kerstin Gier - just looking for ideas of what to get next.

Trying to avoid vampires and anything too adult though

Def second the suggestion of Garth nix 'sabriel' series

Tamora Pierce's books! It starts with the Song of the Lioness quartet.
Mostly female protagonists in charge of their own destinies (more or less), brilliantly written, and the more adult stuff is glossed over (boyfriends etc are very much not central).

Howl’s Moving Castle is still my favourite book, it’s brilliant

My children loved Peter Nimble and his Fantastic Eyes by Jonathan Auxier
