Simplified (a little) children's classics

Looking for recommendations for slightly simplified children's classics. DS10 is currently struggle with the language in the original Treasure Island and the only simplified / abridged version I can find is 110 pages, which sounds really short. Any ideas?

There’s an unabridged (i think) version made to look modern by mixing doodles, styles, pictures etc so it looks like a Tom Gates/ Diary of a Wimpy Kid-type book here

Try the Classic Starts series. There are loads. We have Oliver Twist and Sherlock Holmes.

Our local library had a brilliant series of abridged classics - DC started reading a huge number of classic authors like Charles Dickens and Charlotte Brontë, Tolstoy. Victor Hugo and Jane Austen from about the age of 7.
