Is anyone buying this new book for their DC?

I heard JK Rowling talk about it this morning on R2 and quite fancy reading it myself.

I've had it on pre-order for aaaaaages. In fact I'm a bit worried I might have ordered two, having forgotten I'd ordered the first one! Will see what turns up in the post next week. Can't wait!

I reread HP last year and they were all brilliant on the second reading. Think I'm going to leave it about 5 years and then do it again

Have you read The Ickabog? It's much more of a fairytale but goodness me it's a fantastic exploration of the rise of a totalitarian regime as well.

That's such a thoughtful thing to do! I absolutely love reading Christmas books in December. I'm planning on rereading A Christmas Carol.

I collect Christmas books, particularly children's ones. I re-read A Christmas Carol every year.

Got it on pre-order (half price) from Waterstones. DD's probably a bit old got it, but I thought I might try DS on it.

Oh thank you for this! The elves always leave a Christmas themes book when they collect the Christmas letters from under the tree. DS loves pigs, so he might actually read it!

Mine has arrived and it's beautiful. The illustrations are lovely.
