Looking for a story book with lovely pictures to read to DD1 (2 years)

We are reading Old Bear Stories by Jane Hissey which she loves, and (importantly) I really like too. She is happy to sit whilst I read to her, but this book is good as there are lovely pictures and not LOADS of words per page, so she doesn't get too bored, but enough words to be a good story. I'm thinking along the lines of fairy tales I think.
Any ideas?
tia

My DD 2.6 is loving Shirley Hughes books, especially Alfie and Annie Rose stories.

Me, DS (nearlly 5) and gran love Shirley Hughes Alfie stories too - they're fab stories with lovely pictures too but what I really would recommend is "Tatty Ratty" by Helen Cooper -a real gem!! Not too long, again beautiful pictures and a story you'll both love . . . I won't spoil it for you!!
