Reading Chest - any good?

Hi, I have a daughter in reception who has suddenly picked up reading.

At school she would bring home a couple of books every week to read out aloud, but during lock down this isn't possible.

Has anyone tried Reading Chest, and what did you make of it?
Are they mostly similar to school readers?

They are fab! I've just cancelled my subscription after 6 yrs. youngest has finished the books and he is a free reader. They are really helpful, great customer service and you can move book bands print certificates etc all online. There are three memberships bronze, silver and gold giving different numbers of swaps each month. A really lovely selection of books too. We used to get lots of books from school but not the same varied selection. A really good back up to the school books particularly now of your child isn't in school.

I'd definitely recommend. Not only is the variety of books brilliant, but they seem such a lovely company.

I once accidentally put something else into my return envelope by mistake and they quickly posted it back at no cost to me with a sweet note.

We love it, we only get 4 books a week from school and we use the reading chest to ‘top-up’. It’s a really good service and you can request books and try books for different levels.

Definitely worth a try!
