My sister is busy finding a new job and she asks me to take care of her 6-year-old son for a while. But the boy is so boisterous. Angry So I decide to entertain him with stories. Then I have trouble choosing books. Grimm Fairy Tales is recommended by lots of people. Beside this, which book should I purchase? What does a 6-year-old boy like? Can you give me some ideas?

Grills fairy tales might be a bit old for a 6 to they are meant to be quite scary but correct me if I’m wrong Mumsnet ! Non fiction books on dinosaurs, space , animals perhaps wound interest him .

How about Police Cars on the Go by Anne J. Spaight

Walk to the library, ideally via and hour in the park. Get him to choose some books, then walk home the long way. You might get him to sit still for a chapter or two!
Beast quest? Some of the shorter Roald Dalhs (Giraffe, Pelly and Me, Esio Trot, magic finger), Gerimio Stilton? And any none fiction that he has an interest in.

Dogman is an excellent comic to read. Agree with others, let him choose and be followed by his interests. He might not want to sit and listen, hence comics being a good choice as they’re so visual.

My daughter is also interested in comics. Where do you usually buy these comics?
