Cheap ebooks compatible with Libby app

Hi, my daughter loves reading and I've recently discovered the Libby app where you can borrow ebooks and read on your tablet.

I want to buy her a cheap tablet like kindle but have no idea where to start!

Is there a cheap one that's compatible with Libby?

Not what you asked but maybe useful, there are lots of free ebooks on oxfordowl which you can read from any computer or phone

A kindle fire tablet can access overdrive so I assume it can access libby too (Libby is an overdrive replacement but I don't like it as much so until it doesn't work anymore we are sticking with overdrive), Borrowbox is also good.
