We have quite a library here of fun books that little people love. Pitching this broadly at early readers (with some reading early, some later on, and all getting there in the end and regardless of age or stage), an appealing bookshelf is most helpful to us all!

I'm particularly drawn to the Usborne book collection, with their delightful rhyming narratives, oversized pictures and simple story lines. Here's a little list of some other titles in the series:

Racoon on the Moon
Goat in the Boat
Llamas in Pyjamas
Fox on a box
Ted in a Red Bed
Hens Pens
Big Pig on a Dig
Fat Cat on a Mat
Goose on a Loose
Frog on a Log
Toad Makes a Road
Mouse Moves House
Sam Sheep Can’t Sleep
Shark in a Park

I'm after similar sets that come highly recommended, therefore does anyone have some suggestions please?!

We do have the full Oxford Reading Tree 'Read at Home' series which is commonly found in many book bags, but tend to use these more formally, whereas the Osborne collection above seems to bring more anticipatory smiles as we get towards the end of each story!

Hairy Maclary series is fab & Slinky Malinky by same author.
Oi Frog is the first in the Oi series.
Elmer the Elephant series has brilliant illustrations.
Oliver Jeffers is another favourite author.
