Are there actually good children's ebooks on Kindle unlimited?

DD is 10. Loves Alex Rider and Hunger Games type books. Are there similar books on Kindle unlimited? So far, I've only found lots of Katherine Kahler books (Mean Girls, New Girl, Twins etc) but nothing else.

Also, please could you recommend some books suitable for her taste?

Thanks in advance!

My DD loves books and on the normal Kindle store there is a good selection but not as much as the Kindle kids version it's £4.99 every month and the selection is massive you can set the age ranges for them. My DD is quite a good reader for an 8 year old so I've set the age higher, so there is a better selection for her ability.
There are hundreds my DD was spilt for choice.

How do I get the Kindle Kids version, please? My DD has an Amazon Fire which is what she uses to read books on. Is Kindle kids an app I can download onto that?

Yep it's the kindles kid app, once you download the app open it and set it up through the app, you might get a months free trial too.

I know it's not what you asked, but just checking that you are aware of lots of libraries having free apps that can be used on a kindle fire, such as Libby.
My local library has made lots more titles available in the last month or so, including Antony Horowitz.

If she likes Alex Rider then she might also enjoy Charlie Higson and Robert Muchamore.

There's also a useful website: Who next? Which recommends children's authors based on what you have already enjoyed. here

@itwontrainallthetime thank you so much for going to the trouble of taking photos. I found it!

How do you set the age?

@Ironfloor269 no problem. You go back to your profile , then go into settings , scroll down and go to profiles and my family library, click on it and go down to your DD profile click on your DD profile click it and you get a list of what you can do. Click age filters and you can use the slide bar to set the age. You can also add things from the normal side of the Kindle to your DD profile.
If you get stuck I'll send pics again.

Thank you, @Itwontrainallthetime. I managed to change the age settings. You are right, there are sooo many books! DD will love this. I was buying ebooks every few days, was costing a small fortune. 😊

@Ironfloor269 Glad you got it sorted. I know my DD reads quick and when paying full price it mounts up. With fire kids most of the books my DD wanted to buy are on there and it's only for small monthly cost. It's really worth it. Hope your DD enjoys it.
