I loved reading pony books as a girl Monica Edwards , the Pullen-Thompson sisters and KM Payton were my favourites
Please can you tell me what pony book authors your children read now , are they the same one recycled or are there good new ones out there ?

My children loved Monica Edwards, she's not really a pony writer in a lot of ways. they're adventures where the girls happen to have ponies rather than being about ponies.

Dd also liked Pat Smythe 3 Jays-some of them are very funny.

I used to love the Jill books, which start with Jill’s Gymkhana and I’ve been pleased to find out that they’ve been republished since my time. Likewise for the Jinny at Finmory series.
My DD has read the Palomino Pony series, Tilly’s Pony Tales, and is now enjoying the Seaview Stables Adventures.

I used to love the Jill series and Jinny with her chestnut Arab when I was a little older. The Jill one’s are a little dated in their language.
Sorry I don’t know what kids are reading now, my dd doesn’t love reading or horses, is she even mine!? (Joking Smile)

Monica Edwards a huge favourite in this house. Also the Jill books. There is an author who is currently writing pony books which are sort of continuations of the Jill books. I have a book group on Facebook and she often advertises there. Think her name might be Jane Badger? Seem to think she might have a website where you can read excerpts and see if that is your sort of thing.

Have you tried Stacy Gregg? The TV series Free Rein has had at least a couple of novelisations though I think they share titles with a non-TV related series.

Good luck.
