Hi, a couple of my boys have been enjoying my dh's old copies of 'Solve Your Own Mystery Stories' that Usborne produced. Does anyone know of anything similar? We seem to have read all of these particular ones!

You could probably get second-hand Choose Your Own Adventure books online. They were popular in the 80s/90s.

Choose Your Own Adventure books by R A Montgomery

We like the Walker Gamebooks - I think they are 90s but we got them on ebay.
They do have quite a lot of pictures vs words. We'd like some similar in fact - what's the reading level like for the Usborne ones? Don't suppose you could take a photo of a couple of sample pages?

For us I think the Choose Your Own Adventure series would be too wordy (DS is in Y3 but his reading is a bit behind).

My ds is year 3, he has an odd relationship with reading. Won't always read fiction. He has loved them, I reckon if it catches their eye, even if they're a bit behind, they'll go for it.
