11 year old need to keep the flame burning

My 11 year old son has always been a fairly lazy reader, but does read when I make it fun (snacks, beanbag, praise etc) he’s read the his dark materials, all Harry Potter, all Percy Jackson’s, holes etc. But a month ago I said ok time for you to try the hunger games I think your old enough.

As I suspected it lit a fire in him, he has devoured all 3 books in 4 weeks and was getting up in the morning, no telly, not reaching for a tablet but glued to his book.

I know another hunger games book is out in April. But I don’t know what to offer him next, something just as exciting is needed, and as grown up, I considered lord of the flies which is still an option but might seem old fashioned, and he’s still too young for any Stephen king....

How to keep this live if books with another fantastic series? Help please!

At that age DS liked Dr Limoncello and The Giver (the Newbury medal books are quite good). He had started his Orwell kick by then and then since it was around the time when Trump was winning (sort of) he had a theme - (he had read lord of the flies) We, Fahrenheit 451, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep... not brave new world!

I’ll have a think what else he enjoyed.

My 11 yo DD has just read the Divergent trilogy which is very similar to Hunger Games. Also films so they can watch them after and see how they compare to the books.
