If my daughter liked David baddiel, Tom Gates and Roald Dahl when she was younger what would she like at age 14?

No help sorry. Am place marking as I’m wondering the exact same thing!

My daughter loved those books and Harry Potter, now she loves Hunger games series and Divergent( but not as much as she loves bloody snap chat).

Ahaha yeah bloody 'snap' 🤬

I got her the hunger games and divergent sets and she wasn't fussed 🤷‍♀️

My Dd is sitting next to me and snap chatting me! Hmm

I’m after something gritty but not too... you know, bad!

GymKitJen · 15/11/2019 22:32

Maybe it's a new market for David walliams!

Tricky to say. They grow up so quickly. It depends on whether they enjoy light hearted or romantic. And whether they still enjoy reading.
There's the Girl of Ink and Stars which is worth a look.
For lighter reads - there a thousands of Tracy Beaker style books and diaries of anyone who's breathed (bloggers etc).
Of course Harry Potter. Also, Artemis Fowl, Sean Yeager.
And then the heavier tomes - Hunger Games, Divergent, Twilight etc.

Thanks emcambe, I think it's the comedy she likes
