Book recommendations for dd12 who loves Jaqueline Wilson and Judy Blume

My dd12 doesn't like Harry Potter, Enid Blyton or any books that do not deal with reality. She loves Jacqueline Wilson and Judy Blume. Can anyone recommend similar writers?

Has she read Cathy Cassidy? Adrian Mole? Louise Rennison?

Ooh, yes, Sweet Valley Twins which is aimed at slightly younger. Excellent tosh.
Would she like whodunnits? That was about the age i got into Agatha Christie (esp the short stories).
Maybe some clsssics that aren’t fantasy-themed? The Family at One End Street or Goodnight Mr Tom?

Might be slightly on the young side, but Snow Foal by Susanna Bailey has just come out (it's a debut). Jacqueline Wilson said about it 'I absolutely love Snow Foal - it's so truthful, tender and touching. A book to read in a day and remember for a lifetime.'
Might be worth a try?
Also Cathy Cassidy or maybe Jenny McLachlan's tween stuff like Flirty Dancing?

I loved Jacqueline Wilson and Judy Bloom as a young teen and those are all authors I also enjoyed. Once she’s a little older I’d recommend S. E. Hinton

Lois Lowry’s Anastasia books are hilarious - a bit like Judy Blume but much wittier

I came here to say Lois Lowry’s Anastasia, too! They were my absolute favourite along with Judy Blume and Paula Danziger when I was about her age. The realist stuff is the best!

I really recommend Susie Day. She writes really real and funny yet emotional books, set in the UK, with very real situations.
You could start with the Pea books - Pea's Book of Birthdays, Pea's Book of Best Friends... and some others I've blanked out of my mind. There's another series linked to that, about Sam & Sam.
